Subject:Re:ICOM IC-2000H MODIFICATIONS Remove the front panel of the radio - this is done by removing the two allen head screws from the front panel and then pulling the front panel off. Look on the PCB behind the front panel for a single SMD diode near the 'W1' silkscreened on the PCB; remove this diode. Replace the front panel. Note that this mod can be made without removing the actual radio from the mounting bracket. What does this mod DO? It opens the transmitter from 136 to 174 MHz.
